Nadja Saminskaja
The pianist Nadja Saminskaja, born in Moscow, has lived in Switzerland since 2009. She earned her two Master’s degrees in solo and chamber music at the Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow with Ekaterina Derzhavina and at the Lucerne School of Music with Konstantin Lifschitz.
Chamber music—and in particular the art song—lies at the heart of her musical work. Her regular ensembles include the piano quartet s-ensemble and the song duo with German soprano Maria Bernius. Other chamber music partners include Roberto Saccà, Lev Sivkov, Hanna Weinmeister, and Marina Yakovleva.
Nadja Saminskaja is the founder and artistic director of the Musica Viva Zurich International Music School, where she also teaches piano. In addition to her work as a pianist, she organizes concerts and major musical events, including the one-day music festival «Papageno im Park Seleger Moor», the anniversary concert for her 80th birthday, and the concert marathon for the 85th birthday of Zurich music patron Richard Irniger.
Since 2020, she has been co-artistic director of the concert series «Kulturzelt - Konzerte im Kulturzelt im Park Seleger Moor» as well as of the travel project «Kulturzelt auf Reisen», in which, together with her husband Andreas Fischer, she organizes music and garden tours to Morocco, Portugal, Italy, and other countries.
