Nadja Saminskaja

The Moscow-born pianist Nadja Saminskaja has lived in Switzerland since 2009. She completed her two Master's degrees in solo and chamber music at the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow under Ekaterina Derzhavina and at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts under Konstantin Lifschitz.

She performs both at home and abroad. The focus of her musical work is chamber music and, in particular, the art song.
Her regular ensembles include the piano quartet S-ensemble and the song duo with the German soprano Maria Bernius. Other chamber music partners include Roberto Sacca, Lev Sivkov, Hanna Weinmeister, Marina Yakovleva, and others.

Nadja Saminskaja is the founder and artistic director of the Musica Viva Zurich International Music School, where she also teaches piano herself. In addition to her pianistic activities, she organises concerts and other major musical events. These have included, among others, a one-day music festival «Papageno im Park Seleger Moor», the anniversary concert for the 80th birthday, and the concert marathon for the 85th birthday of the great Zurich music patron Richard Irniger.

Since 2020 she has been artistic co-director of the concert series "Kulturzelt – Konzerte im Kulturzelt im Park Seleger Moor" and of the travel project "Kulturzelt auf Reisen", through which she organises music and garden tours to Morocco, Portugal, Italy, and other destinations together with her husband Andreas Fischer.
